Public Invited to Hear Candidates

Westborough candidates for elective office will take part in a Candidates Forum sponsored by the Westborough Democratic Town Committee. The annual event is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m. at the at 1 Lyman St. Candidates for Selectman, School Committee, Planning Board, Assabet Valley School Committee and Library Trustee have all been invited to participate.
"This is a great opportunity to hear from those candidates seeking your vote in March and to ask questions of the candidates," said Kate Donaghue, chairperson of the sponsoring group. "Most candidates are planning to take part."

The Democratic Committee sponsors this event annually as a service to the town and to encourage voters to become participants in the election process. "Democracy is not a spectator sport," Donaghue said.
Candidates for selectmen include George Barrette, Denzil Drewry and Andrew Reinach for two positions on the Board of Selectmen. Nicole Sullivan is a candidate for School Committee. Brian Bush is candidate for Planning Board. Paul George is a candidate for Assabet Valley School Committee. Karen Fay, James Holmes and Carolyn Spring are all candidates for Library Trustees.
