Singer Alters Script at Concert, Proposes to Girlfriend [VIDEO]
The members of the Westborough Community Chorus and audience were surprised to have a front row seat to a marriage proposal.
There was a surprise performance during the May 18 Rockin’ 60s & 70s show by the — one that even the members of the chorus didn’t know about. Member Kevin Wilson, who shared a duet of Don’t Go Breakin’ My Heart with girlfriend Shannon Kortuem, got down on bended knee after the song and asked Shannon to marry him.
The news was good for Kevin, as Shannon said yes and the two shared a kiss and embrace before the chorus and a crowd at the auditorium.

Chorus members told Westborough Patch that Shannon is orginally from Minnesota and Kevin is originally from Montana. The two started jobs near Westborough and met when they each joined the Westborough Community Chorus. Only a small number of people were in on the special encore Kevin had planned for the duet.
To make the event even more special, a video is posted on YouTube and we're sharing it here. Grab some tissues and take a peek.
