Town Hosts Civil War Re-Enactment
A Union soldiers' camp replica will be open to the public on Saturday, Sept. 24.

On Saturday, Sept. 24, will be the scene of a Civil War encampment. The public is invited to experience life as it was 150 years ago in a Union soldiers’ camp.

Sponsored by the Westborough Historical Commission and the Westborough Historical Society, the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include:
- Infantry and musket firing drills
- Marching drills for children
- Uniforms and gear display
- Weapons display
- Open fire cooking
- Women’s Sewing Society
The program will be re-enacted by The 13th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, Company F. There will also be a concert of Civil War era songs by local singer and songwriter Luanne Crosby at 12:30 p.m.
