Town of Westborough – PER DIEM PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER

The Westborough Fire Department seeks per diem candidates to staff a 24 hour Police/Fire/EMS combined computer aided dispatch center. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact with the public, primarily through response to complaints and requests for service. Prior experience working with emergency services and radio, telephone, and computer networks is preferred. Duties include but are not limited to: dispatching police, fire, and ambulance personnel; providing field personnel with relevant and timely information; and keeping up to date with dispatching reference material and computer data bases. Starting Wage $19.55 to $22.64/Hour. Candidates with Mass State 911Certifications will be given preference. Comprehensive background check, including CORI screening is required.
