Westborough Ballot Takes Shape Ahead Of 2026 Town Election With Single Contested Race
Residents will head to the polls in March to vote on 12 elected positions, and 13 people have filed papers for those seats.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — The last day to withdraw nomination papers for the 2026 Annual Town Election in Westborough passed earlier this month. Here's who is on the ballot to date.
Westborough residents will head to the polls in March to vote on 12 elected positions, and 13 people have filed papers for those seats. All candidates are running for re-election.
It appears that the only contested race will be for one open seat on the Westborough Housing Authority. Two candidates, Carla Mancia Cook and Beth L. Johnson, will vie for the position with a five-year term.

Below is the current list of candidates who will appear on the ballot, shared by the Town Clerk's office.
- Select Board: one 3-year term
- Ian P. Johnson
- School Committee: two 3-year terms
- Jakub J. Moskal
- Sarah J. Shamsuddin
- Planning Board: one 5-year term, one 3-year term
- Christina Anne Kelleher
- Caroline Kent Ford Regan
- Moderator: one 3-year term
- John E. Arnold
- Town Clerk: one 3-year term
- Deborah E. Ledoux
- Trustees of the Public Library: three 3-year terms
- Debra J. Cushman
- Dorothy Mello
- Julia Rissmiller
- Trustees of the Soldier's Memorial-Veteran: one 3-year term
- Burton Harold Christensen
- Westborough Housing Authority: one 5-year term

Nomination papers to run for office in the 2026 Annual Town Election became available on Dec. 1, 2025, at the Westborough Town Clerk's Office at Town Hall.
What To Know Ahead Of The Annual Town Election
The Annual Town Election will take place on March 10. Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
All town residents, including those from precincts one, two, three, four, five, and six, will vote at the Westborough High School in the gym, at 90 West Main St.
The last day to register to vote for the Annual Town Election or Annual Town Meeting, on Mar. 21, in Westborough, is Friday, Feb. 27, at 5 p.m.
If you plan to vote by mail or absentee ballot, the last day to request one is Mar. 3 at 5 p.m. The last day to vote absentee in person is Mar. 9 at 12 p.m.
There is no earlier in-person voting for the town election, but early voting by mail is available, according to the town.
