Westborough-Based Chain To Acquire PA Convenience Stores
The acquisition will occur in 2026, the company said.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — A convenience store chain based in Central Massachusetts has agreed to acquire another popular convenience and fuel retailer.
Cumberland Farms, based in Westborough, is expected to acquire Coen Markets, a Pennsylvania-based chain, the company’s parent, EG Group, announced last week.
Cumberland Farms will acquire 54 Coen Market stores, as well as three new locations that are currently under development, EG Group said. The acquisitions will occur in 2026, pending standard approvals, accoridng to the company.

Coen Markets operates stores in Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and Northern West Virginia. The inclusion will add to more than 575 Cumberland Farms locations across eight states, including in Massachusetts.
EG Group, the major UK-based convenience retailer, also operates Turkey Hill, Quikstop, and Certified Oil, among others, worldwide.
