Westborough Building Department - Part Time Electrical Inspector

The Town of Westborough Building Department is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the part time position of Electrical Inspector. This position performs a variety of routine and complex technical work related to building inspection to ensure compliance with electrical and other related building laws, codes and regulations for the safety of the public. Applicants shall possess a high school diploma or equivalent; five to seven years of experience as an electrician, or any equivalent combination of education and experience working as an electrician. Qualified applicants must have knowledge of operations, services and activities of a comprehensive electrical inspection program, occupational hazards and standard safety practices and accepted methods of building construction for commercial and residential buildings. Knowledge of pertinent Federal, State and local laws and regulations, including the Massachusetts Electrical Code required. Must have and maintain a Massachusetts Electrical Journeymen’s License and valid Massachusetts Driver’s license. This is a 19 hour per week position with a salary range of $23.33 - $31.31 per hour DOQ.
