Westborough Dancer to Compete in World Competition
Eleven-year-old Maggie Connolly will compete in The Irish Dance World Championships in Belfast.
student Maggie Connolly, 11, recently competed in the Irish Dance 2011 New England Regional Oireachtas for the under 11 age group, placing ninth and earning a spot in The Irish Dance World Championships to be held in Befast, Ireland in April.
Maggie was joined at the regional competition by Mill Pond School student Grace Kelley, 11, and Keeley McInerney Zona of Shrewsbury. All three girls were Nationals qualifiers and will attend the North American National Irish Dance Competition scheduled for July in Chicago.

In North America, the Oireachtas is a qualifying event for the World Irish Dance Championship competition (Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne).
Maggie, Grace, and Keeley have all achieved Open Champion level status, the higherst level in competitive Irish Dance, in addition to qualifying at the Oireachtas.
