Westborough Department of Public Works - Water Maintenance Crafts

The Town of Westborough Department of Public Works is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the full time position of Water Maintenance Craftsperson. This position various types of manual labor related to the construction, maintenance, operation and repair of town infrastructure, facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment. This position also performs maintenance and construction to the water and sewer infrastructure. Installs, maintains and repairs hydrants, valves, transmission lines, water meters, hauls gravel, dirt, sand, and other materials. Performs on-call duties during weather events and other emergencies including snow and tree removal and water main break reparations. Applicants shall possess a High school diploma or equivalent; three to five years of experience in public works and/or construction and maintenance activities; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must have a Massachusetts CDL Class B or greater with tank endorsement. Must have Massachusetts Hoisting License for Backhoe/ Front End Loader. Must have a Massachusetts Drinking water grade D1 within one year of hire. A thorough job description and application may be obtained at the on the Town of Westborough Human Resources website.
