Westborough Employee Named ‘Hostess of the Year’

On Tuesday, May 1, the Massachusetts Restaurant Association named Phyllis Dennis the 2012 Hostess of the Year. Dennis, a longtime employee of in Westborough, received the recognition at the association’s Stars of the Industry Gala.

Dennis was awarded $250, a plaque to hang in the restaurant and a proclamation from Boston Mayor Thomas Menino. US Sen. Scott Brown, R-MA, presented Dennis with her award.

Dennis was honored for her gracious demeanor and sense of hospitality. “She never ceases to leave a positive lasting impression on the guests, which is proven by the guest compliment emails and letters that are received about her on a weekly basis,” read a press statement.

Dennis had previously earned the Not Your Average Joe’s President’s Award and was the first inductee into the company’s Hall of Fame.
