Westborough Litter Cleanup Is Another Success!

The Westborough Earth Day Litter Cleanup sponsored by the Westborough Community Land Trust was a success again this year! Over 700 people turned out to do some spring cleaning, removing 500 bags of trash from the town they love! Thirty-seven families participated in the cleanup, along with twenty-seven groups ranging from businesses, to clubs, to youth groups. This massive effort could not take place each year without the hard work of every one of these people!

Special thanks to Chris Bakutis at Mugford's Flower Shoppe for providing flowers to the families who volunteered, and to the Westborough DPW for providing the empty bags and picking up all the full ones!

The Westborough Community Land Trust is an all-volunteer non-profit organization committed to protecting open space in Westborough, creating and maintaining trails including the Westborough Charm Bracelet trail network, and offering monthly educational walks and programs.
