Westborough Man Charged After Upskirting Incident At ALDI In Medford

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A Westborough man is facing charges in connection with an upskirting investigation at a Medford ALDI, police said.

Ogechi Asia, 33, was charged with photographing, videotaping or electronically surveilling a person, commonly referred to as upskirting, police said. He was taken into custody at about noon Tuesday inside a vehicle in the Fells Plaza parking lot, after the incident was reported July 15 at 630 Fellsway in Medford.

Asia was expected to be arraigned Wednesday in Somerville District Court, according to police.

Medford police said detectives and patrol officers made the arrest after receiving assistance from members of the public. Police thanked people who shared an identification request and provided information to investigators.
