Westborough native Jon Eldridge is preparing the inaugural performance of the Flyleaf Theater Company, based in Westborough in Berlin.
“It has long been a dream of mine to own my own small-scale theater company,” he told Westborough Patch in a statement.

His dream becomes a reality on June 8 when six talented singers perform Jason Robert Brown’s Songs for a New World.
Eldridge said the show is about making choices. The Flyleaf Theater website says of the show, “Through music and with no spoken word…we travel to the deck of a Spanish sailing ship in 1492, see a man who is convinced basketball is going to rescue him from a lousy life, discover a woman who marries a man of wealth and materialism just to finally realize she has nothing at all and hear the true thoughts of the cranky Mrs. Claus…[The show] will leave you with a smile on your face and the desire to give big decisions in your life an extra thought.”
