WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough police are warning residents of a recent scam that has hit town.
The department has received reports that calls are being received from people purportedly associated with National Grid. They are threatening to shut off the resident's electricity if a bill is not paid via credit or debit card to them immediately.
The number the call is from is 1-844-691-3363. Police are stressing that this is a scam, and no one should give personal information over the phone.
