Westborough Police Sergeant Completes FBI Leadership Training

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A Westborough police sergeant recently completed advanced leadership training through the FBI-LEEDA Executive Leadership Institute course.

Sgt. Chris Atchue completed the FBI-LEEDA Leadership Trilogy program after finishing the Executive Leadership Institute course, the final step in the series, the department announced on Thursday.

The program consists of three separate weeks of intensive instruction focused on strengthening supervisory practices, leadership development, and command decision-making skills.

FBI LEEDA training is nationally recognized for preparing law enforcement leaders to effectively manage personnel, navigate complex situations, and serve their communities with professionalism and integrity.

Department officials said the accomplishment reflects the department’s continued commitment to professional development and high standards in policing.

“We take great pride in training our officers to be the best they can be for our community,” the department said in a statement.

Sgt. Atchue’s completion of the trilogy program represents another step in the department’s ongoing efforts to invest in leadership training and public service excellence.

Just last week, the Shrewsbury Police Department announced that Sgt. Mark Sklut, Sgt. Brian Sklut and Sgt. Christopher Abbascia completed the FBI-LEEDA Leadership Trilogy program. Sgt. Jeff Svendsen, one of the department’s newest supervisors, also attended the course and has now completed two of the three required leadership courses in the trilogy program.
