Westborough Women's Group Holds Feb. Meeting

Vocalist Brad Ackland will sing the music of the classic America songbook, engaging the audience between and during songs.

From Westborough Women's Club: Do you love the music of Frank Siniatra? Michael Buble? If so, you are in for a treat at the next meeting of the Westborough Women’s Club, on Valentine’s Day February 14, which will be held at 12:00 at the First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main Street, Westborough. Vocalist Brad Ackland, tuxedo and all, will sing the music of the classic America songbook, engaging the audience between and during songs. His playlist will include some of the favorites of the Swing Era. Mr. Ackland grew up in rural Australia listening and singing along to Bing Crosby. Over time his influences grew to also include Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and Michael Buble. He is renowned performer across the country.

A light luncheon and a brief business meeting will precede Mr. Ackland’s performance. Members are encouraged to bring their donations for “Pennies for Art” to this meeting. The club’s donation will be sent to GFWC of Massachusetts to add to the statewide donations toward a scholarship in the Arts.

The Westborough Women’s Club, which is proudly celebrating it 100th year, supports programs for the betterment of our community. Women who are interested in attending and/or joining the WWC are encouraged to attend this program. For more information please call 508-366-0931.
