'What Not to Wear' Fundraiser Raises Money for Greater Boroughs Hadassah

Lyn Evans Potpourri Designs held fasion event, donating 10 percent of the proceeds to the Greater Boroughs Hadassah.

Despite a day of pouring rain, women gathered Monday night for a fundraiser at Lyn Evans Potpourri Designs and to find out What NOT to Wear.

Based on the popular TV show of the same name, the evening featured wine, food, fundraising, and image consulting.

The room was filled with the skinny, the tall and wherever else you might fall, but the goal was the same: to learn about your body shape and how to wear the most flattering clothes. Twenty women from Westborough, Hopkinton, Southborough and other nearby communities did just that.

After a reception, image consultant Kristine Price introduced herself and talked about the spring trends and how body shape greatly impacts an outfit. To emphasize her point, she brought out some volunteer models who graciously showed off the good, the bad, and the not-so-flattering.

Many in the crowd were amazed to have tiny do and don’t fashion details pointed out. Most will likely be spared some spring fashion blunders thanks to the presentation.

The event was open to the public and served as a fundraiser for the Greater Boroughs Hadassah Chapter, with 10 percent of the proceeds going to Hadassah, a Jewish volunteer women's organization.
