What's Happening In Westborough For Veterans Day 2022

A short parade and memorial ceremonies will mark Veterans Day in Westborough in 2022.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough will have a full morning of activities on Friday to mark Veterans Day. This year, resident and Air Force veteran Adriana Baltimore will serve as the grand marshal.

Here's more from a Westborough Veterans Advisory Board news release:

The Westborough Veterans Advisory Board invites all veterans and members of the community to a morning of activities celebrating Veterans Day 2022. On this day in 1918, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, an armistice was signed marking the cessation of hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany, thus creating Armistice Day, subsequently changed to Veterans Day. Over the years, the day of recognition of Veterans Day has changed, but in 1978 it was established as being celebrated on Nov. 11.
