Fresh off a statewide tour focused on economic opportunity last week, Charlie continued meeting with voters yesterday as he stopped at Lowell's Olympia Restaurant. Meeting with local small business owners and employees, Charlie talked about the need for leadership in state government focused on compromise and getting things done.
Charlie "discussed his economic initiatives to increase economic opportunity and grow small businesses, emphasizing the key is compromise and bipartisanship," wrote the Lowell Sun.
"I grew up in a household with a mom who was Democrat and dad who was Republican, so I know how to compromise," said Charlie. "When I worked under Governor Weld, we had a good relationship with Democrats in the State House, and we got a lot done. Balance is a good thing, and we proved that over and over again. It's how we'll get things done."
