Former Westford School Worker Indicted On Weapons Charges
The custodian was fired earlier this year after authorities said he was found with a loaded gun on school grounds.

WESTFORD, MA – A former Westford school janitor has been indicted on weapons charges, months after he was accused of having a loaded gun on school grounds and fired from his job. A grand jury indicted 21-year-old James Healy, of Westford, on charges of possession of a large capacity magazine, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition, and defacing a firearm serial number, according to District Attorney Marian Ryan.
Ryan's office announced indictments handed down between Sept. 26 and Nov. 20 on Tuesday.
Healy, a custodian at Crisafulli Elementary School, was investigated by police after an anonymous person told the school resource officer about a photo on social media that allegedly showed Healy with a gun.

Officers searched his truck in March and found a gun, according to an earlier police statement. The truck was parked at the school at the time of the search.
"This is an egregious breach of public trust, school safety, and the work that our school system and public safety officials have done to keep our students and staff safe," Westford Public Schools Superintendent Everett Olsen said in a previous statement.
