Gallery 529 Author Talk Series - free and open to the public

Tuesday, May 12, 7:00 p.m.

Gallery 529 in Littleton is proud to present our first in a series of author talks featuring local author Meg Stafford on Tuesday, May 12 at 7 p.m. Meg will be reading excerpts from her book Topic of Cancer: Riding the Waves of the Big C followed by a Q&A session with the audience. Meg will share her unique views of how her book came into being, the twin journeys of writing during breast cancer treatment and publishing, along with the joys and challenges inherent in each. She will discuss her belief that mindful living creates the most ease through the difficult aspects of life and yet allows the fun to remain interspersed with those parts.

The following book excerpt exemplifies Ms. Stafford’s sharp wit and upbeat attitude:

Beam on!!! I figure this must be the way the radiation people greet or leave one another. It’s actually one of the three signs that light up outside the radiation room. The first two say Entry Permitted and then No Entry and then Beam On. It sounds kind of Space Exploration-oid and has an upbeat feel to it. I like it.”
