Grief Counselors at Blanchard Middle School After Student's Death

Grief counselors will be available at Blanchard Middle School following the death of a student.

Eighth-grader Rajiv Paluri, 13, was killed Saturday afternoon after he struck a tree while skiing at Nashoba Valley Ski Area.

School Principal Robin Whitney released the following statement Saturday:

Dear Blanchard Family,

It is with a very sad heart that I contact you this evening. One of our students, Rajiv Paluri, was tragically killed in a skiing accident this afternoon. Rajiv was a member of the 8 White Team. Our counselors will be available to help students begin to process the loss of a friend. The counselors will be available from 1-3 on Sunday and from 8-2 on Tuesday. Please let us help your child in any way that we can.

I am sure that you join me in keeping Rajiv and his family in our thoughts and hearts.
