A Lowell man charged with the attempted murder of Westford’s police chief has reportedly been released on bail.

Isiah Lyons, 20, was arraigned Thursday after police said he led officers on a chase in a stolen car Monday morning. At one point, Police Chief Thomas McEnaney said he stood in front of Lyons’ vehicle and ordered him out of the car; instead, Lyons sped up and tried to hit him.
