• From students to teachers: Westford Academy teens pass Chinese dance to the next generation (westfordcat.org) — Westford Academy students are stepping into teaching roles, leading Chinese folk dance classes for younger children from Westford and nearby towns and performing at Westford's own Lunar New Year celebrations. Their work is helping sustain local cultural traditions, build confidence in younger kids, and connect Westford to regional festivals from Acton to Lowell and Nashua. Parents and organizers say the teens are strengthening community ties across generations.
   

• Select Board bids farewell to town manager, reviews tax relief options (westfordcat.org) — Westford's Select Board has said goodbye to Town Manager Kristen Las while reviewing big decisions that could affect your tax bill, sidewalks, and local development. Members heard detailed options for shifting the town's property-tax burden, advanced a sidewalk project linking Blanchard Middle School and Westford Academy, and prepared warrant articles for the Oct. 26 Special Town Meeting, including a specialized energy code change.
   

• Residents participated in 38th annual Jimmy Fund Walk (westfordcat.org) — Fourteen Westford residents recently joined thousands of walkers in Boston for the 38th annual Jimmy Fund Walk, raising money for cancer care and research at Dana-Farber. Among them was resident and cancer survivor Laura Goodman, who walked as a designated Walk Hero after extensive treatment for a rare cancer. Her story underscores how local fundraising efforts directly support lifesaving care.
