Nashoba Tech Superintendent Wins Prestigious Award (westfordcat.org) — Westford residents should know Nashoba Tech is planning a three-year geothermal heating upgrade and campus expansion in collaboration with the town, backed by a $3.25 million state workforce grant. Superintendent Dr. Denise Pigeon just earned a top statewide award for her leadership and is steering new high-demand programs in HVAC and Facilities Management. Her long tenure and state-level roles are helping shape the school's future.
   

2. Chelmsford woman seriously injured in Westford crash (lowellsun.com) — A serious single‑car crash on South Chelmsford Road in Westford left a 74‑year‑old Chelmsford woman badly injured and flown by medical helicopter for treatment. Westford police, firefighters, and public works crews responded quickly, closing the road for about 90 minutes while investigating and clearing a fallen tree. The crash remains under investigation by Westford authorities.
   

3. Westford Academy Tennis Star wins 'Player of the Year' (westfordcat.org) — Westford readers can celebrate Westford Academy tennis standout Rishabh Anoop, who was named the Dual County League Thorpe Division Player of the Year as just a freshman. Several WA teammates and girls players also earned league honors, and coach Patrick Claycomb was recognized as Coach of the Year. Anoop will return as one of three captains, aiming for a future state title.
   

4. Middlesex Sheriff's Office Celebrates Successful 25th Season of its Youth Public Safety Academy (thereadingpost.com) — Westford kids were among the 513 cadets who spent a week at the Middlesex Sheriff's Youth Public Safety Academy in Chelmsford, learning about police, fire, and emergency services. The 25th-anniversary program mixed hands-on safety lessons with fun activities and visits from agencies like the State Police Air Wing and National Guard. Families can look ahead to future summers if they're interested.
