Westford School Sets Record for Students Inducted into National Honor Society
A record number of students at Nashoba Valley Technical High School were inducted into the school's National Honor Society chapter.

WESTFORD, MA — Students at Nashoba Valley Technical High School are racking up awards.
A record 97 students were inducted into the school's chapter of the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society or both societies, according to a school press release. The students were honored at a ceremony in the school's performing arts center.
That's a lot of certificates to hand out.

The National Honor Society was established in 1921 and is one of the largest organizations recognizing the achievements of high school students in the United States.
"More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921," read's the NHS website.

Students at Nashoba Valley Technical High School also won awards in the Merrimack Valley Film Festival for three different categories. Students won for best animation piece, best public service announcement and best studio and live production.
