4 Injured In Tractor-Trailer Rollover On Mass Pike In Weston
One person had to be taken to the hospital in a helicopter.
WESTON, MA — A tractor-trailer rolled over onto a car on Massachusetts Turnpike headed east in Weston on Tuesday. Four people were injured during the accident and one had to be flown to a nearby hospital in a helicopter.
The rollover happened on the Exit 14 ramp and shut down the right lane to traffic just after 12:30 p.m. State police said traffic was backed up two miles.
The driver of the car that was crushed in the rollover suffered serious injuries. State police said Weston EMS were on scene treating the victims as well as a doctor who happened to be traveling in that area at the time, who stopped to help.

The tractor-trailer was driven by a 28-year-old man from Monroe, Louisiana and it rolled over onto a car driven by a 59-year-old Framingham man. The man had to be flown to Lahey Hospital in Burlington for treatment of serious injuries. A 24-year-old woman was in the car with him and was taken to Lahey for minor injuries, state police said.
A 42-year-old man from San Bernadino, California was in the passenger seat of the tractor-trailer and was taken Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston for treatment of minor injuries alongside the driver.

While no charges have been filed speed, on the part of the tractor-trailer operator, is believed to have been a factor.
