Affordable Housing Opportunity at Fillmore Place Available This Fall

The town has announced an affordable housing opportunity at Highland Meadows with a lottery to take place this fall.

Applications to purchase the property, a one condominium unit for $178,000 at 10 Fillmore Place, Highland Meadows, are now available through the town’s website. They are due Nov. 1. The housing lottery will take place Nov. 14.

The town will hold an informational session about the property Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. at Weston Town Hall.

Here are the restrictions on the property, according to an informational flyer:

• Income limits are 80 percent area median income

• 1 person household - $45,500, 2 person household- $52,000

• 3 person household- $58,500, 4 person household - $65,000

• Asset limit for this development is $75,000 with an additional $200,000 in equity of an owned dwelling (to be sold)

• All qualified applicants and all occupants must be 55 or older
