Alexandra Mahar Named Life Enrichment Director at EPOCH of Weston

EPOCH of Weston Memory Care Assisted Living has hired Alexandra Mahar as Life Enrichment Director. She will implement programs designed to engage residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia with the surrounding community and meet their physical, social, mental and emotional needs.

“I am thrilled to be a part of EPOCH,” Mahar said. “My goal is to expand these amazing programs in order to increase self-worth, confidence and joy for residents.”

Mahar has been working in the senior living industry for more than six years. Prior to joining the EPOCH team, she worked as an activities assistant at the independent and assisted living community Seventy-Five State Street in Portland, Maine. She also served as program coordinator at Scandinavian Living Center in Newton.

Mahar earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from High Point University in North Carolina where she also took pre-med courses.
