‘Cats Strike Gold in Relay as Weston Competes in Big Division 4 Track Event
Kachadurian takes home a gold, silver, and bronze medal.

The Weston boys track team finished in eighth place with 24 points and the Weston girls finished 15th with 12.5 points at the recent Mass State Track Association Division 4 Relays at Bishop Fenwick High.
The boys had only three relay teams score points but they made them count with a first place finish in the 1600 Sprint Medley, a second place finish in the high jump, and a third place finish in the long jump. The 4 x 400 relay team had to scratch which was unfortunate since it would have placed fourth if it had matched its qualifying time.
Junior newcomer Kyle Kachadurian took home a gold, silver, and bronze medal as a member of all three scoring relays. Kachadurian competed in the high jump, long jump, and ran in one of the 200 meter legs in the sprint medley relay. Junior Tim Grant competed in the high jump and ran the other 200 meter leg in the sprint medley relay. Sophomore Craig Shytle also competed in the long jump and high jump. Junior Spencer Shea competed in the long jump and had to scratch from the running events due to an injury. Senior Nicky Pack, who ran the 400 meter, and sophomore Geoffrey Pendergast, who ran the 800, were the bookends on the gold medal 1600 sprint medley relay, which finished in a time of 3:45.60.
