Celebrate the season with Regis Christmas Concert December 5 & 6

The Regis Humanities Department announces the annual Christmas Concert on December 5 and 6.

The Regis Humanities Department announces the annual Christmas Concert on December 5 and 6. The concert will include a variety of traditional Christmas carols, spirituals, pop arrangements of new Christmas music, and a special performance of Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s Messe de minuit pour Noël (Midnight Mass for Christmas).

“We are excited to perform this Christmas concert and celebrate the spirit of the season,” said Elizabeth Smith, MDiv, MSM, Conductor of the Regis Glee Club, Chamber Singers, and Handbell Choir.

Along with an Instrumental Ensemble, each of these groups will perform individually, and then choruses and orchestra will join together for an arrangement of favorite carols. The program will close with a traditional, candlelight-rendition of Silent Night.

As a way to attract families and encourage children to attend, the Regis Glee Club will also offer to take family photos with Christmas props and a festive background. The photos will be taken during intermission, and prints for a Christmas card or keepsake will be available online after the event.

The concert will take place on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6 at 3:30 p.m. in the Casey Theatre of the Fine Arts Center at Regis, 235 Wellesley Street, Weston, MA. General seating tickets are $15 for the public; $10 for seniors, students, Regis faculty, staff, and alumni; $5 for children under 12; and free with ID for Regis students and LLARC members. A raffle and various other sales will be held to benefit the Glee Club’s 2016 Italy concert tour.
