Celebrate the season with Regis Christmas Concert December 6 & 7

Regis College Christmas Concert December 6 & 7

On December 6 and 7, the Regis College Music Department’s annual Christmas Concert will include choral classics as well as contemporary arrangements of familiar Christmas carols.

The Regis College Glee Club, Alumnae Chorus, Handbell Choir, Instrumental Ensemble, Chamber Singers and orchestra will each perform individually, and then choruses and orchestra will join in excerpts from Haydn’s great oratorio, The Creation, followed by songs of the season and traditional carols. The program will close with the traditional candlelight-rendition of Silent Night.

“The Christmas Concert will provide a welcome relief from today’s commercialism as we recall the original reason for the season,” said Dr. Sheila Prichard, Regis College Music Coordinator. During the intermission, audience members will enjoy a cookies-and-punch reception in the holiday-decked atrium.
