Eleven Weston residents graduate from The Rivers School in Weston
Eleven Weston residents were among 93 students to graduate from The Rivers School in Weston on Friday, June 10.

WESTON, MA— Eleven Weston residents were among 93 students to graduate from The Rivers School in Weston on Friday, June 10.
Elizabeth J. Andre was a high honors student who served as a Spanish teaching assistant and participated in the school’s summer immersion program in Spain. She was a Red Key admissions tour guide and vice-president of the school’s Debate Team. A Scholar-Athlete Award recipient, she was co-captain of both the cross-country and track and field teams. The daughter of David Andre of Weston and Rebecca and Mark Foley of Wayland, Elizabeth will attend the University of Richmond in the fall.
Jackson M. Barno, an honor roll student and passionate historian, was awarded the George Woodbridge ’24 History Prize on Prize Day. He was a member of the Rivers School Conservatory Program and played the saxophone in the award-winning Big Band. In his free time, he was an avid train enthusiast and volunteered at a local museum dedicated to World War II history. The son of Richard Barno and Leslie Montgomery, Jackson is enrolled in a joint program with the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and the College of William and Mary.

Ashley P. Brown was a talented artist with wide-ranging creative interests, who received a Gold Key in the 2015 Scholastic Art and Writing competition in printmaking. She was co-editor of the Rivers yearbook, managed the girls’ basketball team, and produced a short video as her senior project. Outside of school, she volunteered at a special needs camp and at Perkins School for the Blind, and worked as an intern for Boston Magazine last summer. The daughter of Robin and Marcia Brown, Ashley will attend the George Washington University in the fall.
Robert M. D'Alessandro, a high honors student, was awarded the Three-Dimensional Arts Prize for Sculpture on Prize Day. A co-captain of the Model UN Club, he received a number of Best Delegate awards at annual local and national conferences, and was also a two-year member of the Debate Team. He played tennis for four years, captained the varsity team as a senior, and received the 2016 Tozzer Tennis Award. The son of David and Jeannette D'Alessandro, Robert will attend Northwestern University in the fall.

Lauren B. Heuer was elected to the Cum Laude Society at Prize Day on June 9. Last summer she had an internship through Rivers at MGH’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, shadowing doctors and working with interns in the unit. She was a Red Key tour guide, a math teaching assistant, middle school math and French tutor and volunteer at a number of local hospitals. A Scholar-Athlete Award recipient and high honors student, she was a member of both the cross-country and tennis teams. An avid cyclist, she did a number of long-distance trips, including a six-week cross country trip last summer. The daughter of Jeffrey and Lynn Heuer, Lauren will attend Williams College in the fall.
Maggie M. McCabe was a four-year member of the varsity girls’ soccer team, helping them win two New England Championships and an outright Independent School League Championship as a senior. She was twice named to the National Soccer Coaches Association All-State teams. An honor roll student, Maggie served as an ambassador for the school to prospective families through Red Key. The daughter of Mike and Polly McCabe, Maggie will attend Babson College in the fall.
Caitlin O. Reardon was a Student Advisor as a senior, serving as a mentor to younger students and a bridge between the faculty and her peers, and a member of the Red Key tour group. Caitlin also was a manager for the girls’ basketball team. An honor roll student, she traveled to Aix-en-Provence with the French Exchange program her junior year. The daughter of Mark and Cindy Reardon and Landis Becker and Brace Young of Cambridge, Caitlin will attend Washington & Lee University in the fall.
Natalie A. Schoen was elected to the Cum Laude Society at Prize Day on June 9 and was chosen by her peers to address the Senior Banquet that evening. A high honor roll student, she was a member of Rivers Givers, the school’s youth philanthropy program; a member of the Debate and Baking clubs; a Middle School writing tutor; and as a member of Red Key. In 2012, her print earned a Gold Key in the Scholastic Art Awards and went on to earn a National Gold Medal. The daughter of Laurie Schoen of Weston and Scott Schoen and Nancy Adams of Chestnut Hill, Natalie will attend Yale University in the fall.
Benjamin G. Snow was a four-year member of the varsity boys’ lacrosse team, earning ISL All-League honors as a junior, and also spent time on the varsity boys’ football and soccer teams. An honor roll student, Ben was a member of Red Key, and as a senior, was chosen to be a Student Advisor, serving as a mentor to younger students and liaison with faculty. The son of Lucian and Elizabeth Snow, Ben will attend Middlebury College in the fall.
Jacob M. Solomons was elected co-president of the Upper School his senior year and was a two-year member of Rivers Givers, the school’s youth philanthropy program. He was a five-year member of the varsity alpine ski team and served as captain his senior year. An honor roll student, Jacob was on the Debate Team throughout his Upper School career, earning Best Main Speaker and Best Supporting Speaker awards at Debate Conferences, and was a Red Key tour guide. The son of Tony and Rachel Solomons, Jacob will attend Northwestern University in the fall.
Olivia J. Vettel lent a student perspective to the alumni community as a Student Alumni Council Representative and was a Red Key tour guide. She was in the Nonesuch Players’ production of You Can’t Take It With You her junior year, playing the role of a tax collector. Away from Rivers, she gave her time to Childrens’ Hospital in Philadelphia where she gathered stories about children for a radiothon. The daughter of Matthew and Jenna Vettel, Olivia will attend Miami University, Oxford in the fall.
