Scene Study is a weekly intense, yet fun, practice where actors improve their craft while gaining performance experience. In this workshop, students focus on learning to develop characters with personal truth and emotional understanding. Students explore how to apply their back story to characters as they delve into the study of contemporary and classical scenes and monologues of various genres. By sharpening these skills, the actor begins to bring his voice and artistic (physical, emotion, vocal) choices to the work. Students begin each session with emotional exercises used to warm up their instrument and teach the tools that will be applied to the scene work. The workshop ends with a last day performance for parents and peers.
