
A wonderful and intense workshop designed to teach motivated and creative teens all aspects of script development including the elements of a dramatic story, narrative point of view, character analysis, and classic structure. Other concepts and themes covered include: plots, subplots, dialogue, theme, conflict, flashbacks, WGA format, visualization, etc. Film clips, interactive lessons, group projects and writing exercises are incorporated into the workshop. Individual feedback that stresses the language, writing concepts, techniques and grammar of film, as well as expression of unique ideas and developed storylines will be provided.
Students are required to bring their screenplay idea or initial draft to the first day in preparation for their writing project, and additional daily and weekend hours must be budgeted to write. Students are asked to bring a laptop, although this is not a requirement.
