The Weston Friendly Society of the Performing Arts will be holding auditions for their fall 2013 production of Irving Berlin’s WHITE CHRISTMAS on Tuesday, June 18 at 7 PM at a St. Julia Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston, and Wednesday, June 19 at 7 PM at St.Peter’s Episcopal Church, 320 Boston Post Road, Weston.  Callbacks will be Thursday, June 20 at 7 PM at St. Peter’s Church. Performances will be at the Weston Town Hall on November 30, December 1, 6, & 7.


Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song that is in a similar style to the show (other Berlin, Gershwin, Porter, Kern, etc.) An accompanist will be provided. A dance call for the roles of Judy and Phil, as well as a core group of tappers, will be held on the night of callbacks.

While the role of Susan Waverly is the only child role being cast at this time, we will be holding another call for other child performers (ages 7-12) at a later date. Please check back in the early fall for more information.


ROLES- Ages listed below are approximate


BOB WALLACE- (Late 20′s to Late 30′s) Baritone.


PHIL DAVIS- (Mid 20′s to Early 30′s) Bari-tenor. Strong jazz, tap and comedic ability needed.


BETTY HAYNES- (Mid 20′s to Mid 30′s) Strong singer- must have a rich mix or belt.


JUDY HAYNES- (Early to Mid 20′s) Chest/Mix. Strong  jazz and tap dancer.GENERAL HENRY WAVERLY- (Early 50′s to Mid 60′s) Non-singing role. Retired U.S. Army General


MARTHA WATSON- (Late 40′s to Mid 60′s) Comedienne with strong old-fashioned belt.


SUSAN WAVERLY- (7-12 years old to play ~9 years old) Needs a belt and strong movement ability.


RALPH SHELDRAKE- (Mid to Late 30′s) Baritone. Fast-talking, New York professional.


SINGING ENSEMBLE- Many ensemble roles of varying size, age, and ability available within the singing ensemble.


TAP ENSEMBLE-  Strong tapper/singers needed. Can also be part of the singing ensemble or other roles.
