Good Chances Go for Not as Softball Falls to Westford Academy

Grey Ghosts deliver 12 hits in victory over Wildcats.

The Weston High Softball team will try to shake off today’s 9-2 loss to visiting Westford Academy when it goes back to work against host Bedford on Wednesday.

“[We] had the bases loaded in the bottom of the first and were unable to score, [and] threatened in the third, fourth, and fifth and were unable to score,” said Weston head coach Kelly Harrington, whose squad fell to 3-4.

The Grey Ghosts, meanwhile, scored a run in the first inning, before breaking the game open with five in the fourth. They added two in the fifth and one in the seventh.
