High Wind Advisory in Effect for all of Massachusetts Monday

Winds could produce gusts up to 50 mph and cause downed tree limbs, power outages. Driving could also be impacted.

You should expect gusty winds Monday as the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory until 7 p.m. Monday night for all of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour coming from the west will produce gusts up to 50 miles per hour on Monday. The strongest winds are expected from just after sunrise until sunset.

Winds this strong are capable of downing small tree limbs and branches and could cause isolated power outages. The National Weather Service also says driving could also be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

A wind advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast to be 31 to 39 miles per hour or gusts will range between 46 and 57 miles per hour.
