Safely dispose of your household hazardous products at the DPW facility at 190 Boston Post Road By-pass on Saturday, August 29th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Examples of what is accepted:
- Bring old paint, thinners, solvents, and removal products
- solvents adhesives, plaster compound
- lighter fluid, kerosene, gasoline
- antifreeze, motor oil, car wax
- poisons, insecticides, fungicides, fertilizers
- mothballs, flea powder, no-pest strips
- hobby and art supplies
- cleaning supplies
- furniture, floor and metal polishes
- driveway sealer
- photo chemicals, chemistry sets
What not to bring:
- tires
- fireworks, ammunition
- radioactive, infectious/biological waste
- prescription medicines or syringes (those can be dropped off at the Police Station)
- commercial/industrial waste
- bulk drums
Be careful transporting to the DPW:
- tighten caps and lids
- leave materials in the original labeled container, if possible
- pack containers in sturdy, upright boxes and pad with newspaper
- pack separately: oil paint, pesticides, and cleaners
- avoid spills and do not place in garbage bags
- do not mix chemicals
- do not smoke while handling materials
- come directly to the DPW after packing your vehicle
