WESTON, MA - Schools were closed, flights were canceled, and Weston residents readied themselves for the second significant storm in four days.

But while the weather was bad at times, especially in Southeastern Mass. and the Cape, things in Weston didn’t get as messy as predicted.

Tuesday’s unofficial total in nearby Sudbury was at only 5 inches as of 9 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The National Weather Service had predicted about a foot of snow for the Weston area on Monday.
