Making a Statement!

Spector, Brackett are best of the bunch.

Two of Weston's most prolific high school athletes were the talk of the town and the state this past weekend.

Senior Will Spector won the state tennis title, defeating two-time Central Mass. champion Chris Ellis of St. Johns (Shrewsbury), 6-3, 6-3. Spector also beat longtime friend and rival Aaron Revzin of Needham, 6-1, 6-3, in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, junior Olivia Brackett was the state's top runner in the Emerging Elite two-mile run at the New Balance Outdoor National Track Championships in Greensboro, N.C. Brackett finished fourth overall in a time of 11:14.07.
