Memorial Day in Weston: Schedule of Ceremonies

Here's a look at the schedule of services for Monday.

WESTON, MA - Memorial Day is this Monday, and Weston is honoring those who died fighting for our country with a service and subsequent parade at Town Hall.

Here's when the ceremony and parade will begin, via the Weston town website:

The ringing on the Paul Revere Bell at the First Parish Church will sound at 9:15 a.m. calling all to the Town Hall for the annual service, which will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Auditorium.

The invocation will be delivered by Rev. Stephen Melius of the Weston Methodist Church and the guest speaker is CW5 Joseph Quinn of the U.S. Army. The full program is available below.

Following the service, all are welcome to join in the parade led by the Honor Guard of the Weston Fire and Police departments and the Weston High School marching band as wreaths are delivered to the burial grounds for the traditional wreath laying ceremony by Weston Veterans with representatives from Weston's scout troops.

Children are encouraged to decorate carts and bicycles to ride in the parade.
