Nicole Malec Joins Hammond Residential Wellesley Office

Agent joins experienced team in Wellesley

WELLESLEY, Mass. (October 20, 2014) - Gail Bogle, manager of Hammond Residential Real Estate’s Wellesley office, recently announced that Nicole Malec has affiliated with Hammond. In her new role, Malec will collaborate with buyer and seller clients from Hammond’s Wellesley office located at 40 Grove Street.

Malec is a longtime Boston area resident, having lived in Chestnut Hill, Brighton, Roslindale, Newton, and now Wellesley. For many years, she resided in Newton, where her children attended the public schools. She has been an active community member through her volunteer work chairing auctions, charity cooking events, holiday celebrations and progressive dinners. She also helped to introduce a grant program to support teacher-led educational initiatives. Malec earned a bachelor of arts in American Studies from the University of Connecticut, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She went on to earn a master’s degree from Boston College and she completed additional graduate work in data analysis, social networks and management.

Prior to joining Hammond, Malec spent nearly twenty years managing communications, including public and media relations, social media strategy, print and web design, branding, fundraising communications, and marketing at Boston College, MIT, and the University of Southern California. At Boston College, she also taught web development for ten years. She was also a reporter at The Hartford Courant in Connecticut, covering education, planning and zoning, politics, business development, and social trends.

After renovating several homes over the last fifteen years—two of them historic properties—Malec chose to combine her knowledge of strategic marketing, social media and trends in home design to build a career in real estate. Malec develops individualized, comprehensive marketing plans blending traditional approaches and new media for her seller clients, and she shares her extensive market knowledge with her buyer clients to help them find their ideal home. Additionally, Malec understands the challenges of relocation and is sensitive to the needs of those searching for a new home in an unfamiliar area, having moved dozens of times in her life in Connecticut, Massachusetts and California. An avid user of technology, she is accessible and engaged during all phases of the process to ensure a smooth experience for all.

“Nicole is a welcome addition to Hammond’s experienced team in Wellesley,” said Gail Bogle. “Her use of Hammond’s unique marketing platform, combined with her extensive background in strategic marketing and relationship development will ensure her many future successes with an expanding and loyal client base.”
