Police Give All Clear After Bomb Threat At High School
Students were transported to a predetermined evacuation site while the High School was searched by local and state authorities.

WESTON, MA- After a bomb threat targeted Weston High School Tuesday morning, police are allowing staff and students back inside giving the 'All clear'.
According to police the high school received the threat via email. The high school was one of two schools targeted for a bomb threat; The Rivers School also received threats Monday night via over a hacked phone, police said. The school was closed on Tuesday although the threats were deemed a hoax and not credible. Police said the Rivers School threata nd Weston High School threat were unrelated.
This wasn't the first time The River's School was the target of a bomb threat. In December the school received a bomb threat via email. State police did not deem the threat credible and reopened the school to students and staff. The threat was apart of a nationwide Bitcoin bomb threat that also targeted businesses- the threats were deemed a hoax.

The state police bomb squad was requested Tuesday morning to help handle the situation at the high school. Weston police said the threats were not credible.
The Superintendent of Weston Public Schools, Midge Connolly said in a statement:

"This morning January 29, 2019 Weston High School received a bomb threat via an electronic message. Students were transported to our predetermined evacuation site while the High School was searched by local and state authorities. Once the building was cleared by the fire and police, students were returned to school and the day resumed. Police are following-up on the source of the communication."
