Q and A with Wildcat Elizabeth Dennehy
Patch talked with Elizabeth Dennehy after the Wayland/Weston girls hockey team beat Dover-Sherborn, 10-1, Wednesday night.

Patch: You have a team-leading 10 goals. Talk about what type of an accomplishment that is, being only a freshman.
Dennehy: Our team is working really well together. I really like our team bonding. We have really good passing, which makes us a really good team. No one is thinking for themselves. We are really working as one team.
Patch: How great is it to be so offensively gifted?
Dennehy: I haven’t played hockey in three years. It’s hard to come back, but it feels really good to be out there. I have been playing since I’ve been four. I started as a family sport. I missed it, so I came back just to get out there again. It feels good to be out there.
Patch: Why did you stop playing?
Dennehy: We moved and they didn’t have it in Florida. So I switched off and played field hockey. But then I came back here and missed it.
Patch: How much work was it to get back into the groove of things?
Dennehy: My brother has been really helpful. He plays hockey for the boys' varsity team. He has taught me some things to help get me back out there.
Patch: What is the rest of the season looking like?
Dennehy: From here, it looks pretty positive. We are doing really well. Hopefully, we keep that up.
