Q and A with Weston Wildcats' Rashaan Powell
Patch spoke with Rashaan Powell after the Weston boys' basketball team lost to Waltham Friday night.

Patch: Besides tonight, how has the season been going?
Powell: It’s OK. We’re 2-6. We’re just looking for our first win in the D[ual] C[ounty] L[eague] Small. We are 0-1 now due to the loss to Waltham.
Patch: Personally, how is your season going?
Powell: I think it is going pretty good. I feel like I need to be more of a leader out there. I feel like I was a little off today.
Patch: Being a captain, what does that entail? What type of leadership qualities do you have to bring?
Powell: I just have to be vocal. I’m like the second coach out there, like the extension of the coach. We’re pretty much on the same page at times and we always have to be.
Patch: How much training do you put in prior to the season?
Powell: Well, I play AAU prior to the season. So just doing that and working out with a couple of kids who are also in the DCL.
Patch: What does it mean, this being your last season?
Powell: I just have to go hard and leave everything out on the court because this is my last go-around.
Patch: Do you have any aspirations to play beyond the high school level?
Powell: I’m looking forward to playing at the college level, hopefully at a Division 3 college.
