Retired Weston Fire Captain Passes Away

Jack Richardson, who designed the WFD graphics for years, was also a talented watercolor painter.

WESTON, MA – Retired Weston Fire Captain Jack Richardson has passed away, the Weston Fire Department announced Monday. Richardson was one of the first registered EMTs in the Commonwealth and was hailed for his work as an artist, WFD said in a Facebook post.

He was well-known among firefighters in New England for his hand-painted gold leaf truck lettering and designed the graphics on the Weston Fire Department's equipment until 2002. Richardson was also a talented watercolor painter.

But his best trait? His sense of humor, according to those who knew him.
