Rt. 30 Detours In Weston This Weekend

MassDOT has announced temporary detours on Friday and Saturday during daytime hours.

WESTON, MA – There will be off-peak, temporary detours in Weston this weekend near the intersection of Route 30 and Wellesley Street, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced. Detours will be in place during daytime hours on Friday, Sept. 8 and Saturday, Sept. 9.

There will be signage in place to guide drivers through the work zone. Crews will be putting the finishing touches on paving operations in the area; the $2 million project included roadway reconstruction, installing sidewalks, wheelchair ramps and signals, drainage improvements, implementing pavement markings and improving safety for drivers and pedestrians.

Work will occur during off-peak hours, MassDOT said. Drivers are asked to reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone and to allow for extra time.
