Send Letters to Santa, Decorate Stamps, Oranaments, at Museum Family Day

The Spellman Museum of Stamps and Postal History hosts its annual family holiday event.

Decorating Christmas tree ornaments and making holiday gifts with stamps from around the world are just two of the fun activities for children and adults at this year’s Holiday Family Day on Saturday, Dec. 5, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Spellman Museum of Stamps and Postal History.

Visitors can also do holiday stamp hunts and games, create their own holiday stamp designs, make stamp mosaics and see displays of Christmas stamps from the USA and worldwide. Volunteers will demonstrate how to make holiday cards and envelopes and free postage will be provided to send the cards to friends.

Children can write their letters to Santa Claus and post them in the Museum’s North Pole mailbox. A unique North Pole museum cancellation will be added to all letters and Santa has told the museum he will write back. We also expect a visit from our talking British mailbox.
