Solar Storm Exercise Oct. 25th

What would happen here in Weston if the power went out and stayed out for weeks, months, years?

What if a single event knocked out all electronics throughout the state, or even across the country? It may sound like science fiction, but a major solar storm could do just that, and they actually occur more often than you think. This Saturday, from 9am to noon at the Weston Town Hall, the Weston Emergency Reserve Corps is participating in a nation-wide virtual game on this topic and invites anyone high school age or older to join in the fun. The scenario focuses on how to handle the potential impact of a massive solar storm on our families, our community, and beyond.
